Dale Bremner Peterson was born August 29, 1940 in Kenosha County, Wisconsin to Rev. Rangnor and Rev. Vera (Cardiff) Peterson. He lived in Brainerd,Minnesota as a young boy and moved to Miami, Florida when he was 8 years old. He had many fond memories of his time in Miami. He returned to Minnesota to attend North Central Bible College, where he became ordained and started his pastoral ministry.
Dale met his late wife, Marjorie (Block) Peterson, while they both were volunteering with youth at Hi-C Christian Clubs. They married on June 21, 1965 and began the exciting journey of starting a family, something they both greatly treasured.
Together, they were active in ministry, enjoyed singing and playing music together, Dale on his violin and Marjorie on the piano or vibraharp and took pleasure in taking drives to appreciate the beautiful landscape of Minnesota. They enjoy opening their home to many individuals throughout the years and welcoming them as their family. After several years of pastoring in Wisconsin and Minnesota, Dale returned to school to get his Masters in clinical psychology and began a career in counseling. Dale and his wife started the Southwest Mental Health Clinic in Edina, Minnesota, where they were an encouragement and a resource for health and healing to many individuals.
Dale is survived by his children, Merrilee Peterson (Mark Reaves), Jerome (JoeAnne) Peterson, Karalyn Peterson (Stephen Schultz), Joy (Randy) Hall, his grandchildren Elise Schultz, Daniel (Allison) Schultz, Karah (Joshua) Schultz Brink, Julia Schultz, Emmalia Schultz, Lucas Schultz, Gabriella Schultz, Liliana Schultz, Mia Lomeli, Shelby Reaves, Cole Reaves, Ethan Hall, Riley Hall, Hudson Hall, Za'Riah Dockery (foster grandchild), and Ky'Leigh Dockery (foster grandchild).
