Herbert E. Doepping, 96, of Hebron passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022. He was born July 10, 1925 in rural Crown Point to Ernest & Lilly (Werblo) Doepping and graduated from Crown Point High School. Herbert was a proud farmer who also served in the Maintenance Department at Porter Memorial Hospital for many years.
On February 8, 1946 he married Pauline Irons who survives along with their son, Edward (Sharon) Doepping of Crown Point, son-in-law, Charles (Mary Lou) Hardesty of Wheeler, grandchildren; Eric (Deneise) Hardesty & Melissa (Eugene) Webber, and great-grandchildren; Bethany & Branden Hardesty and Gabriel & Graham Kitkowski. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Hardesty in 2001, grandson, Ward Doepping in 2006, and siblings, Milton, Evelyn & Ilene.
A private visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8th, 2022 at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with burial following at Graceland Cemetery.
