Kathleen A. “Katie” Forste passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born August 3, 1990 to Patrick & Susan (Weich) Kistler and attended Kouts High School. Katie loved music and movies, especially the band, “Bullet for My Valentine”, the actor, Johnny Depp, and musician “Eminem”. Although her personal challenges may have altered her trajectory in recent years, her passion for life was never diminished, and her love for others continued to shine through.
Katie married Sean Forste who survives along with six year old son, Levi Forste, her father, Pat (Marcia) Kistler of Valparaiso, siblings, Kyle Kistler of Hebron, Chelsea (Timothy) Leib of Rochester, Christina Wathen of Rochester, Adam (Mikayla) Wathen of New Chicago, grandmother, Carol Weich of Boone Grove, special aunt, Amy Weich of Valparaiso, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Katie was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Kistler in 2020.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, May 26th from 4 – 7 pm at Kosanke Funeral Home, Kouts. Memorial donations may be made to Alice’s Halfway House for Women, 606 Brown St., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
