Kathryn Marie Mullarkey-Dailey, 73, of Hamlet, IN, peacefully passed away on March 27, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the daughter of Donald E. Mullarkey and Dorothy M. Turner (Watkins). Kathy attended Aquin High School, class of 1966. She was united in marriage with James Patrick Dailey, and together they welcomed a son, James Patrick (JP) Dailey, Jr. Kathy was a mother, grandmother, and a soon-to-be great grandmother. She was a fun-loving and easy-going person with a constant smile and a big heart. Kathy made friends easily and was loved by many. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Kathy is survived by her first love, James Patrick Dailey, Hamlet, IN, her mother, Dorothy Turner, Freeport, IL, daughter-in-law, Brenda Christen, Pecatonica, IL, grandson, Austin James Dailey (Imogen M. Tuttle), Baraboo, WI, sister, Christine (Michael) Giardini, Freeport, IL, and a brother, Jim (Deena) Mullarkey, Freeport, IL, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-families. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Eugene Mullarkey, her step-mother, Phyllis Mullarkey, step-father, Robert Turner, brother, Jay Michael Mullarkey, her beloved son, James Patrick Dailey, Jr., and nephew, Jared Mullarkey.
At Kathy's request, there will be no formal funeral or visitation. She will be cremated at Moeller Funeral Home in Valparaiso, IN. Memorials can be sent to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
