Sara Kathryn Halford, 87 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born November 15, 1934 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of the late Garris and Madge (Vandevender) Molden. Sara was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Valparaiso. Sara always stayed very active and enjoyed gardening and shopping.
On August 13, 1951 in Frankfort, Indiana, Sara married Robert H. Halford who preceded her in death on November 27, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Karla Halford; sister, Sonya Smith; brother, Stephen Molden; nine nieces; and one nephew. Sara was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Molden.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, a private burial of ashes will take place at Normanda Cemetery in Normanda, Indiana.
