Sherry Marie Grimm, 43 of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022. She was born May 30, 1978 in Michigan City, IN to Stephen and Sharon (Henrich) Grimm. Sherry graduated from LaPorte High School in 1996, where she played flute and saxophone in the band. She was a talented musician who also fluently played guitar and piano. Sherry had a love for art, animals, and exotic pets. She was a bright and articulate person, with a cheerful personality, and intuitive instincts. Sherry was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.
Sherry is survived by her father, Stephen (Bonnie Blank) Grimm of LaPorte, IN; mother, Sharon Miller of Tennessee; sister, Gina (Doug) Dickmeyer of Columbia City, IN; brother, Jeremy Grimm of Columbia City, IN; nieces and nephews: Trey, Brittney, Jacob, Gavin; great nephew and niece: Toby and Brayley; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Tom & Helen Grimm and Carl & Anna Henrich; and stepfather, Howard Miller.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Wanatah Funeral Chapel, 309 N. Main St., Wanatah, IN, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wanatah.
