Sharon Denise Miller, 55 of Kouts, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 20, 1966 in Gary to Gerald and Judith (Guyton) Musitelli. Sharon graduated from Kouts High School and made her career in various positions with Ticor Title Insurance, and most recently with Babcock Law Office in Chesterton. She was a faithful member of GracePoint in Valparaiso, and enjoyed crocheting, making ornaments and stockings by needlepoint, and cooking and baking. Sharon’s world revolved around her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be remembered for her strength through adversity, and the love and devotion she gave to her family.
On October 15, 1988 in Valparaiso, Sharon married the love of her life, Daniel Miller, who survives, along with their children: Amber (Jared) Fox of Hebron and Chad Miller of Colorado; grandchildren, Wyatt and Wren Fox; mother, Judith Nicewinter; step-mother, Kathy Ray; and siblings: Deborah Chelf, Dianne (Ricco) Semento, Bub (Lisa) Nicewinter, Scott Martin, and Shaun Martin. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Musitelli; step-father, Richard Nicewinter; and brother-in-law, Jim Chelf.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at Kosanke Funeral Home, 105 E. Indiana Ave., Kouts, with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to GracePoint, 2590 W. Morthland Dr., Valparaiso, IN 46385.
